Iran continues to retaliate with unprecedented intensity for the American Israeli strikes that hit the South Pars gas field, as on the 20th day of the unprecedented conflict in the Middle East, it pierced Israeli air defenses and set the Haifa refineries ablaze with a volley of ballistic missiles.
Specifically, the new missile attack by Iran against Israel triggered alarm in the Israeli city, as at least one missile struck the refineries, resulting in a massive fire.
Iran states that it targeted a power generation station in Haifa in response to the attack on the South Pars gas field.
Earlier, sirens sounded in northern and central Israel, as well as in the Jerusalem area, following the launch of ballistic missiles.
Israeli media, following their usual practice, reported “impacts of missiles or fragments in the Haifa area,” where rescue forces rushed to assess the situation.
However, images show massive smoke near a refinery.
At the same time, power outages are reported in the Krayot suburbs of Haifa as a result of the attack.
The new Nasrallah missile system used to strike Haifa infrastructure
The most striking aspect of the operation was the use of a new missile system called “Nasrallah.”
According to the information released, this system is an upgraded version of previous Iranian missile technologies and features high precision guidance capabilities, improved course correction, and greater target penetration ability.

Its use for the first time in real operations is considered by many analysts as a message to the United States and Israel that the Iranian missile program continues to evolve.
The name of the system refers to Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, which carries strong political and symbolic weight for the entire Shiite world, as emphasized by Tehran.
Trump alarmed: I am not sending ground troops to Iran
In the aftermath of the Iranian strikes, the United States announced that it does not intend to send troops to Iran at present, as stated by the President of the United States Donald Trump from the White House.

“No, I am not sending troops anywhere. If I were, I certainly would not tell you, but I am not sending troops,” he stressed.
Multiple strikes on central Israel and Ben Gurion Airport
Earlier on 19/3, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps IRGC announced the launch of the 64th wave of Operation True Promise 4 against multiple targets in what it describes as occupied Palestinian territories, namely Israel.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Office of the Revolutionary Guards, it said that the operation targeted locations in central and northern Israel, including Ben Gurion Airport, the main hub for combat concentration, operations, and logistics of the regime, as well as fuel supply infrastructure.
Additional targets included areas in Haifa, which host troop concentrations and oil refineries, along with locations in Rishon LeZion.
The IRGC added that a wide range of missiles were deployed in the operation, including Ghadr, Emad, Kheibar Shekan, and 9 Khorramshahr missiles with multiple warheads.
The US Fifth Fleet targeted again by Iran
At the same time, the United States Navy Fifth Fleet, based in Bahrain, was struck by medium range missile systems using liquid and solid fuels.
The operation is still ongoing and is being conducted successfully, the Revolutionary Guards stated.

According to the Revolutionary Guards, these actions are part of a broader response to American Israeli aggression, noting that millions of Israelis have been forced into shelters from the previous wave of attacks.
The IRGC stated that the operation is dedicated “to the leaders of the Islamic Revolution and all the martyrs of the Sacred Defense, the defenders of the holy shrines, and those who were martyred during the ongoing aggression against the country,” adding that further waves of attacks are expected.
Hezbollah ambush devastates Merkava tanks in southern Israel
Developments are also unfolding on the Lebanon front, with Hezbollah launching rockets toward southern Israel on March 19, activating sirens in Ashkelon and several settlements near the border with the Gaza Strip.
At the same time, operations by the Shiite organization in Ramallah resulted in at least 6 Merkava armored vehicles being destroyed by guided missiles.
According to the Israel Defense Forces IDF, long range missiles struck open areas, although, following their usual practice, Israeli media did not report casualties.
This attack marked the first time that Hezbollah targeted the area near the Gaza border, which is approximately 200 kilometers from the Blue Line, a temporary boundary drawn by the United Nations separating Israel from Lebanon.
However, the organization is known to possess rockets and missiles capable of reaching virtually anywhere in Israel.
During the day, Hezbollah also launched multiple rocket barrages into northern Israel, with many impacts reported, including one in Kiryat Shmona.
IDF 300th Brigade strikes 80 Hezbollah targets - Commander killed
For their part, the IDF stated that troops of the 300th Regional Brigade Baram recently destroyed more than 80 Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon.
The military also announced that the commander of the Imam Hossein Division, an Iranian force operating alongside Hezbollah, was killed in an Israeli strike in the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, one day earlier.

Hassan Ali Marwan was killed one week after the elimination of the previous commander of the force in an Israeli strike.
The television channel Al Manar, affiliated with Hezbollah, also announced the death of political program director Mohammad Sherri and his wife, who were killed in an Israeli strike targeting a residential complex in Beirut.
Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed more than 900 people and displaced more than one million since Hezbollah resumed its attacks on Israel, according to Lebanese health authorities, who noted that 111 children are among the dead.
Another 334 children have been injured.
