Ukrtelecom confirmed damage to one of its facilities. Kyiv came under drone attacks throughout the day and night. It was revealed that the fire broke out at the National Academy of Sciences building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Footage from the scene shows flames engulfing the upper floors and thick smoke billowing from the windows. According to emergency services, the second and third floors were partially destroyed, and the fire covered an area of 900 square meters, as reported by Suspilne News.
Extensive destruction at Ukrtelecom
Additionally, a fire was reported at a gas station in the Obolonskyi district, where fuel pumps sustained damage. The head of the administration for Kyiv's Podilskyi district stated that drones struck a critical infrastructure facility in the Vynohradar neighborhood twice during the night. A Ukrtelecom facility was also hit. The company confirmed the damage but noted that its telecom services remained functional.

Verkhovna Rada MP Oleksiy Goncharenko criticized the performance of Ukraine's air defense systems. He expressed doubts about how Kyiv will survive the upcoming winter season. "I understand that we are lacking Patriot missiles. But shouldn't we be shooting down ordinary Shahed drones? Why aren't we doing it? And how are we supposed to get through the winter? If the Russians have mastered the airspace over Kyiv and are now destroying one building after another just for fun, then something definitely must be done!" wrote Goncharenko.
Fire in warehouses near Kyiv
Warehouses in the Brovari area of the Kyiv region were engulfed in flames following an attack. Monitoring equipment detected slightly elevated ammonia levels right next to the site of the fire, according to the head of the regional military administration, as reported by Ukrayinska Pravda. Local residents were instructed to close windows and doors, turn off air conditioners, and minimize their outdoor exposure. Ukrainian media reported that the damaged facilities included warehouses belonging to the ATB supermarket chain.
Vasilkiv military airfield reduced to dust
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced a strike on infrastructure at the Vasilkiv military airfield in the Kyiv region. The ministry also reported damage to data centers belonging to Ukrtelecom and Dreamline in Kyiv. According to the Ministry of Defense, Ukrtelecom provided communication services to Ukrainian troops, while Dreamline provided high-speed internet access and stored intelligence data. In the same briefing, the ministry reported strikes on fuel infrastructure used to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Targets were also hit in the Odesa region and the Black Sea. Drones struck a logistics center belonging to the company Nova Poshta in Odesa, where military cargo was stored. In the port of Chornomorsk, Russian forces attacked a dry cargo ship carrying military equipment. In the port of Izmail, missiles struck infrastructure at the Dunaysudoservis shipyard and a deployment point for a unit of the Ukrainian Border Guard located on the premises. Strikes were also reported on another dry cargo vessel heading toward Odesa carrying military cargo.
