An unprecedented political downfall is underway for the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, as New Democracy collapses to percentages around 25% in voting intention, as reflected in the latest poll by GPO.
At the same time, 70.8% want a different government to be elected the next time polls are held.
In addition, 66.4% state that their trust in the government has decreased because of the OPEKEPE scandal.
In the same poll, which was presented on the main news bulletin of a private television channel, 21.8% say it is likely that they will vote for a party under Alexis Tsipras.
Voting intention

In voting intention, New Democracy gathers 25.2%, up from 24.7% in September, while PASOK is second with 12.6%.
In third place Elliniki Lysi appears to be consolidating itself with 10.4%, followed by KKE (8.5%), Plefsi Eleftherias (5.8%), SYRIZA (4.1%), and Foni Logikis (3%).
“Other” is chosen by 7.7%, up from 3.9% in the previous GPO measurement, while the undecided reach 13.3%.

27.2% prefer for New Democracy to continue governing and for Kyriakos Mitsotakis to remain prime minister.
Negative evaluation for the government, disastrous performance also for PASOK

At the same time, 70.6% rate the government’s work negatively or rather negatively, and 28.9% positively or rather positively.
Among the specific areas of government work that were included as questions in the poll, only regarding the actions for the reorganization and equipment of the armed forces do positive opinions (56.6%) outweigh negative ones (39.2%).

Meanwhile, 81.7% rate the work of PASOK as official opposition negatively, and just 17.1% see it positively.
