Israel if it had managed to dismantle Iran, to change the regime and to flatten the Iranian resistance, it would have achieved a historic victory, but the reality is clearly different.
Israel has suffered catastrophes and defeats of historic dimensions, its air defense became a sieve and the Israeli army is good at fighting barefoot opponents, against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps the Israelis proved to be insufficient, militarily inadequate, and they rely on the backs of the Americans who also made a mess of things.
On the geopolitical chessboard, the target is Turkey
The American-Israeli aggression against Iran has not ended yet and paradoxically plans are being drawn up for a new war.
Israel sets a new target: they are certain, or rather they pretend they are and reassure the Americans about it, that the military operation will deactivate at least Iran for a long period of time and it will cease to be a rallying point for all the forces that resist Israeli plans.
Therefore, Israel already has a candidate for the role of its main enemy or, in its own terminology, “the main threat to the security of the Jewish state”.
Which is it?
The country that only a century ago controlled the region where Israel now stands, that is Turkey.
They threaten Turkey but the Israelis are incapable of striking it
While previously discussions about a possible “Turkish threat” were mainly limited to individual Israeli analysts, now it is discussed by politicians with weight.
The former prime minister Naftali Bennett recently directly threatened Turkey, stating that after Iran, it could become the next target.
A country of NATO, an ally of the United States, and yet Israel threatens Turkey which is a member of NATO.
Are the Israelis dizzy from their success or are they simply receiving injections of psychological uplift from the shock they suffered from Iran?
Israel is a state of evil and will pay
The actions of Israel in the region, including America, cannot remain without consequences.
Israel is now identified with evil, no it is not the mullahs but the rabbis who co govern in Israel.
A theocratic regime also prevails in Israel but it is concealed.
The disappointment with the United States as a guarantor of security among the Arab monarchies is only part of the process and the restructuring of the security architecture of the region after the Iranian adventure is inevitable.
The Abraham Accords buried under the rubble
The Abraham Accords, on which Netanyahu and the American Trump had bet, the process of reconciliation between Israel and Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries, were buried under the ruins of Gaza, but the attack on Iran made them essentially useless.
The Arabs need allies, including regional ones, and here Turkey comes to the forefront, always reminding them of the Ottoman Empire and the fact that Jerusalem is not foreign land.
It is not about Turkey’s plans to regain control of Palestine, but about becoming, in the eyes of the Muslims, and especially the Arabs, the main defender of the Palestinians and of the struggle for Jerusalem.
Iran was claiming such a role even though it is neither Arab nor Sunni
Iran, controlled by Shiite Muslims, has always claimed this position, even though it is neither an Arab nor Sunni country, it has done more than anyone else to support the resistance.
But if Iran is removed from the global stage, even temporarily, Sunni Turkey will try to become the center of the unification of the Islamic world, this is the thinking in Israel.
Because of the genocide in Gaza, Turkey has indeed hardened its policy toward the Jewish state: Erdogan calls Netanyahu “Hitler”, who responds in the same way, and trade ties have been cut.
But Israel is not displeased with this, but with the military threat that Turkey represents.
After all, this is exactly what Naftali Bennett says: “Israel may need to wage war against Turkey after we deal with Iran.
We must be sure that no one will create a new Islamist alliance.
This depends on Turkey.
We will not remain idle if they try to surround us with terror.”
After the Shiites, the Sunnis
So, Israel, the country that committed the genocide in Gaza and is currently attacking Iran and Lebanon, threatens Turkey?
It is a new “terrible threat” for Israel, which is actively discussed there at the moment, the so called Sunni bloc of Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
Egypt and Qatar could also participate in it.
Thus, it appears to be an alliance of the richest countries of the Islamic world, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with the most militarily powerful, Turkey, and the only nuclear power, Pakistan, as well as the most densely populated Arab country, which happens to be a neighbor of Israel, Egypt.
To prevent the creation of such an alliance, Israel threatens Turkey with a preemptive strike.
There is not yet a “Sunni bloc”
In reality, there is not yet a “Sunni bloc”.
There is a treaty of military assistance between the Saudis and the Pakistanis, a process of restoring relations between Turkey and Egypt, and a relaxation of tensions between Qatar, a close partner of Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
All these processes began before the Israeli-American attack on Iran and were caused precisely by the realization that the Americans increasingly support Israeli expansion, in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria.
Israel unites everyone else
The discussion about a greater Israel is once again becoming reality in the politics of the Middle East and this inevitably pushes Islamic countries, which otherwise have many tensions, toward rapprochement.
The Arab states toward Turkey, for example, are extremely ambivalent but now strong geopolitical upheavals are underway and the Arabs want to reduce their dependence on external factors, or rather on the most important of them, the United States.
In this context, Turkey is already considered almost as one of them and certainly not as a foreigner, not as a protector of Israel.
But is Turkey ready for such a challenge?
Turkish President Erdogan condemns the attacks on Iran and emphasizes the need for Islamic unity, but the country is a member of NATO and a military ally of the United States.
In the 1950s, the Americans and the British had already created a kind of Islamic military bloc, yes, the same Baghdad Pact.
It included Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
Iraq was the first to withdraw, after the revolution of 1958, and although the CENTO Central Treaty Organization lasted for two more decades, it did not play any role.
Conclusion
There is no doubt that Israel is responsible for the destabilization of the region, it is a state of evil as a political line and not the ordinary citizens of Israel who are obviously victims of the gang of Netanyahu.
However before it reaches the point of threatening Turkey, Israel must defeat Iran, and the Israelis have not managed to do so until now.
