Metlen: Strategic agreement with Coca-Cola HBC Greece for green energy through a 10-year PPA in Greece
Corporate PPAs form a fundamental pillar of Metlen’s strategy to deliver integrated and competitive energy solutions to major industrial and commercial consumers.

Metlen and Coca-Cola HBC Greece have entered into a ten-year bilateral Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), reaffirming their shared commitment to accelerating the green energy transition and significantly reducing their overall environmental footprint. The agreement covers the supply of clean electricity generated by a solar power plant with an installed capacity of approximately 12 MW, located in the Mikro Perivolaki area of Velestino, Magnesia. Under the terms of the deal, Coca-Cola HBC Greece will off-take 100% of the project's total output, estimated at approximately 16.5 GWh on an annual basis. Aligned with the broader commitment of its parent group, Coca-Cola HBC, to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, Coca-Cola HBC Greece currently sources 100% of the electricity used across its manufacturing facilities from renewable energy sources. Through this landmark transaction, Coca-Cola HBC Greece secures premium-quality green energy while actively supporting the construction of new renewable energy projects, driving a more sustainable future for the domestic market.

Metlen maintains a robust and long-standing presence across both the Greek and global renewable energy markets, supported by proven expertise in the development, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), as well as the operation and maintenance (O&M) of large-scale asset portfolios. In Greece, Metlen operates an active portfolio of renewable power assets totaling roughly 0.5 GW, while globally it has executed or is currently delivering projects with a cumulative capacity of 11.4 GW spanning five continents. Concurrently, Metlen’s Aggregator (FoSE), operating within its Integrated Utility model, manages the full commercial optimization of generated electricity to ensure seamless integration into wholesale electricity markets, representing an operational portfolio exceeding 2.2 GW across Greece, Italy, and Romania. Corporate PPAs remain a strategic priority for Metlen as it seeks to supply tailormade, cost-competitive power solutions to major industrial clients and commercial entities. By finalizing high-impact agreements like the partnership with Coca-Cola HBC Greece, Metlen solidifies its position as a primary architect of the evolving clean power market and continues to accelerate the broader decarbonization drive in Greece.
